Repair & Make-Safe

Temporary make-safe measures, permanent corrective repairs and practical defect closure in live environments.

We carry out make-safe works, corrective repairs, modifications and replacements to external public and commercial assets where the issue needs more than a report and requires practical closure.

Temporary make-safe

Immediate stabilisation, isolation or temporary works to reduce exposure while a permanent remedial path is defined.

Corrective repairs

Repair of defective external assets including fencing, gates, handrails, stairs, barriers and associated steelwork.

Replacement where justified

Where repair is no longer the right answer, selected items can be removed and replaced with a more durable practical solution.

Live-site delivery

Works carried out with attention to access, sequencing, safety and disruption in occupied or operational environments.

Typical repair and make-safe items

Cattle grid replacement and access-asset remedial

Environment: Rural access route with vehicle crossing and estate boundary control.

Problem: Existing cattle grid showed deterioration and cracking to key steel sections.

Constraint: Asset sat within a live access route and required correct fit, durability and safe reinstatement.

Action: Existing asset was inspected, measured, removed and replaced with a new cattle grid assembly suited to the site.

Output: Access route restored with a safer, more durable crossing and a clear remedial close-out.

How we approach repair and make-safe work

  1. Identify the defect, risk and practical constraint
  2. Determine whether the item should be made safe, repaired, modified or replaced
  3. Carry out the work with attention to live-site access and use conditions
  4. Record the action taken and support clear close-out
